Fonts!
I made all these fonts with my own two hands. Well. I guess I also used a computer and a notebook and a pencil and a pen and a marker. And my brain! That seems like everything.
Automat
Progressive, metropolitan and classic. Art Deco hits all the right notes for me. I created Automat as my own modern interpretation of classic Art Deco type with special influence drawn from ITC Anna. I’m happy with the quirky elegance that Automat portrays.
Deprogram
Drawing inspiration from LCD clock displays and the pixels that make up our screens, Deprogram was made as a nod to the digital world that we willingly & unwillingly inhabit.
pronto!
An unapologetic geometric sans-serif, pronto! was created as an exercise in originality. If an alien ever makes a toothpaste brand, I’d like to think they’d brand it with pronto!.
Chopshop
I created Chopshop as a sort of Impactified Impact: emphasizing a rectangular geometry and further minimalizing interior counterforms.
Ablute
One of the newest developments in fontmaking was the introduction of variable fonts which allow for new forms of text manipulation. I created Ablute as a personal introduction to variable font creation: Ablute has 900 possible font thicknesses, and the following gifs illustrate the font flexing from width 1 to width 900 and back again.
Doppelgänger
Reverse-contrast fonts had a moment for a second. I wanted to make one for myself. Can’t let everyone else have all the fun!
